Schiermonnikoog

The small isle of Schiermonnikoog is a very special place to me. I have pretty much spend all the summers of my live there. The sandy island between the Northsea and the shallow Waddensea is dynamic, filled with rough nature and the elements of wind, sand and the ocean are tangible and visible in the landscape. It was great to spend time there, feeling the water, wind and beauty, it revives me.
I made watercolors on cotton and embroided them with the colors on the island, greens, yellows and blues. The other one show the island from a distance with the distinct lighthouses. The works are in stock at the Gallery Ogygia on the Island.
